The Downing Clinic - Polenta Pie
1-1/2 cups
1 dash
2 Tbs
1 tsp
1/2 cup
1 cup
1 cup
1/2 cup

Water
Japanese soy sauce
Dried onion flakes
Chopped cilantro
Whole Grain Organic Polenta (dry)
Monterey Jack cheese
Salsa
Fresh Cilantro, chopped (optional as a topping) |
1 Boil water, add polenta, soy sauce, onion flakes, 1.
tsp cilantro, cook until thick and cool slightly. Spread and
flatten into 8 inch pie pan that has been lightly oiled with
olive oil. Shaping sides by pushing dough to form and edge.
2 Fill inside of dough with 1 cup of grated Organic Monterey
Jack Cheese
3 Bake at 350° F for 15 minutes
4 Prior to serving, run under broiler for 5 minutes to
brown slightly. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, if desired.
Serve with salsa. Serves 4 as a meal or 8 as an appetizer.
